Mr. Hunt is a distinguished authority on construction law and litigation in California.
Mr. Hunt has lectured for the University of California Continuing Education of the Bar, various trade associations, the Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, and Beverly Hills Bar Associations, and many other groups in the construction industry. Mr. Hunt has authored many works on construction law, including "Mechanic's Liens", "Claims on Public Works", "Construction Disputes", "Construction Law", "Stop Notice Remedy in California", "Releases, Vouchers and Joint Checks in the Construction Industry", "Claims on Private Works", "Construction Claims: Recovery for Defective Plans and Specifications", "Construction Industry Claims", "Public Works", "Strict Liability in the Construction Industry" and many other articles in bar association journals and trade publications.
He is the co-author of California Construction Law, 16th Edition, published by Aspen Law and Business. He is also co-author of California Construction Lending and the Law. He is the author of Construction Surety and Bonding Handbook. He is chief consultant to the California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) book "California Mechanic's Liens and Related Construction Remedies" and the author of the CEB action guide "Handling Mechanic's Liens and Related Remedies (Private Works)."
Mr. Hunt has been named as a "Super Lawyer" in construction law by Law and Politics Magazine, as a "Best Lawyer" by Woodward / White, Inc. and as one of "America's Leading Lawyers."
