Mr. Darling is a Shareholder with Hunt Ortmann Palffy Nieves Lubka Darling & Mah, Inc., the preeminent construction law firm in California. He is a seasoned trial attorney with twenty years experience litigating construction and real estate disputes, and has developed an expertise in handling matters before alternative dispute tribunals involving mediation, and arbitration for both public and private entities.


Mr. Darling has authored several articles including "Delay of Game" The Construction Lawyer Volume 26 Number 2, Spring 2006 and Los Angeles Lawyer, January 2005; "Design/Build: Changing Notions of Liability and Risk Management" Los Angeles Lawyer, January 1999; "The New AIA A201 Document (1997) the Basic Changes," Real Property Section Review June 1998; and "The Constitutionality of Mechanic's Lien Remedies," Los Angeles Lawyer, January 1994. He regularly holds seminars and gives lectures on construction law topics for the Western Council of Construction Consumers, Associated General Contractors of California, the Los Angeles County Bar and other organizations. Mr. Darling is a past chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Subsection on Construction Law.
